Ahead of the first World Cup season Ladies-Skijumping.com takes a close look at all national teams. Today the Czech team is in the focus.

With more then 100 starts in the Continental Cup, Vladena Pustkova is the most experienced Czech jumper. Measured on her performance in the past, a finish among the top twenty must be her standard, also for World Cups. Michaela Dolezelova jumps almost on the same performance level as Pustkova and so is also a hot candidate for regular top twenty results. As both still have room for improvements, also some top ten results might be possible.

This year Lucie Mikova absolved her best summer season ever. If she jumps likewise in the winter, she has good chances to see the second round in many competitions.

The aspiring Czech junior jumpers Michaela Rajnochova and Barbora Blazkova are both only 14 years old, and so are not permitted to start at World Cups, as an age of 15 is required by the rules. They can only use the six Continental Cups, that will be held this winter, to gain more experience. But of course also the Junior World Championships should be a goal for them.

Anders-Also, in answer to your first quseoitn about the price change, these workshops are essentially intended to financially support us so we can focus on our language revitalization work, which doesn't currently compensate us well. The first $50 workshop was an at-cost workshop, meant to inaugurate the Agilistry studio space and test-run the workshop there; none of us made any money, but we did get our expenses paid.We have had to bump up the price to a more realistic number for practical financial reasons, and so this workshop is aimed at an audience who can afford it (San Francisco-area professionals). We are always looking for opportunities to present the game in other contexts, to reach a wider range of people. Please feel free to talk to us about hosting WAYK workshops in other environments.

One particular form of eangvelism; that doesn’t “bother” me, but I know some that it does, would be modern Christian music. The drums in one particular case made one fellow church member get up and walk out of the service, because they believed all drums were forms of devil worship. I was saddened by this remark, and felt it was unfortunate they felt that way. However, they are completely free to feel the way they do. It’s my belief that through the new era of music, there has been more positive reaction to the youths of today. The message they receive through these forms of music is much better suited to a Christian way of life, then the message in most “pop culture” music genres. Personally I don't care for the rap style Christian music, but that is my taste, and if it works to bring young adults to Christ, I am all for it.Personally, and I’m not entirely sure it would be considered eangvelism, but the “faith healer”, kind of makes my skin crawl a little bit. I am way to skeptical about anything seen on TV, and I have stopped watching for the most part some time ago. Other than this, I can’t think of one that I would consider to “bother” me.
