Sara Takanashi won the gold medal at the Youth Olympic Games ahead of Katharina Althaus and Ursa Bogataj.

For the Youth Olympic Games 2012 over 1000 athletes from 60 countries gather in Innsbruck to compete for 63 Gold Medals. The ski jumping competitions are held on the K68 in Seefeld, about 20 km west of Innsbruck. In the Ladies competition on Saturday 14 athletes from 14 countries competed.

After her strong appearances in the official trainings, it was no big surprise, that Japan's Sara Takanashi won the gold medal. She jumped twice on 76.5 meters and finally had a 26.8 point advantage over silver medalist Katharina Althaus from Germany, who jumped on 71.0 and 72.5 meters. With two jumps on 71.5 meters Slovenia's Ursa Bogataj won the bronze medal. She was still on the second rank after the first round.

In the next week there is another chance for the athletes to gain a medal, when the mixed team event will be held, in which a Lady, a man and a nordic combined skier will fight together.
